Peanut allergy is caused due to a reaction to the ingestion of peanuts. It is very severe and life threatening at times as the body identifies it as a harmful substance and it blocks the airways and there is severe swelling in the throat. A person having peanut allergy produces histamines and other chemicals which affects the throat, eyes, nose and intestinal tract as the body digests the ingested peanuts, treatment can be administered to prevent any calamities. People who are suffering from peanut allergy also suffer from allergy from all other types of nuts. Peanut allergy is common with people suffering with asthma/ hay fever and eczema and peanut allergy is on a rise, even kids can get peanut allergy. Some of the symptoms of peanut allergy are vomiting and diarrhea, low blood pressure, difficulty in breathing and swallowing, swelling of lips, tongue and other parts of the body and causes un-consciousness. You need to go to the doctor if you get an attack of allergy the doctor will prescribe an antihistamine to cure the allergy.
